CORNERSTONE’s bespoke silicon photonics fabrication service gives you full control over your development pathway. From custom layer stacks and etch depths through to backend testing and validation, you define the process while we provide the expertise.

Whether you are building novel modulators, quantum photonic circuits, biosensing platforms, or hybrid photonic–electronic devices, our flexible process flows support advanced prototyping across silicon-on-insulator (SOI), silicon nitride (SiN), germanium-on-silicon (Ge-on-Si), and suspended-silicon (Sus-Si). Access to both deep-UV projection lithography and electron-beam lithography allows you to select the technologies best suited to your goals, or combine them as needed.

How It Works
Our bespoke service is built around close collaboration and clear stages:
2. Scope Project
We arrange an initial call to discuss your project and identify the most suitable platform(s) or hybrid processes. An NDA is not required unless you request one.
3. Proposal & Quote
You receive a proposal including timeline, platform choice, and cost.
4. PDK Access
Download the relevant open-source Process Design Kit (PDK) for your chosen platform to streamline your design and verification process. Contact our PDK team for support and design rule checking.
5. Submission & Purchase Order
Once your design passes the design rule check, submit it via our online submission form together with your purchase order. Both are required to confirm your submission.
6. Fabrication & Delivery
Our team fabricates your design on the selected platform, using the processes defined in your proposal. Additional integration or packaging options can be arranged if required. Following completion, your devices are delivered for testing and evaluation.
